Equal housing commitment

Housing services and housing-related advertising are intended to comply with applicable federal, state and local fair-housing requirements. Hidalgo Real Estate Group does not intend to discriminate, steer, discourage, limit availability, or express a housing preference based on a characteristic protected by applicable law.

Protected characteristics

Federal fair-housing law protects against discrimination in housing based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status and disability. Additional protections may apply under state or local law. This page is not intended to provide an exhaustive legal list for every jurisdiction; it states the site's operating commitment to nondiscriminatory housing information and service.

Community and neighborhood content

Community pages describe objective housing, property, amenity, location and lifestyle information. They are not intended to tell a visitor where someone “should” live based on race, religion, family composition, disability, age except where a lawful housing designation is relevant, or other protected characteristics.

Visitors should evaluate schools, crime or safety data, demographics, religious institutions, household composition and other sensitive neighborhood topics using objective public sources and their own priorities rather than relying on subjective real-estate shorthand.

Schools and public information

School boundaries, ratings and programs can change and should be independently verified with the responsible school district or public source. A reference to a school or district is informational and is not a representation about the type of people who live in a community or who may prefer it.

Age-restricted and specialized communities

Some housing communities may lawfully operate under age-restricted or other legally recognized housing programs. When that is relevant to a property or community, the specific eligibility rules should be verified with the housing provider, association or qualified professional. A lawful housing restriction should not be generalized to other communities or used as a proxy for protected characteristics.

Advertising and listing descriptions

Property, community and marketing copy should avoid language that indicates a preference, limitation or discouragement tied to protected characteristics. If risky language originates in a third-party listing feed or historical source, it should be reviewed through the permitted correction process rather than blindly republished.

Accessibility and accommodations

Visitors who need an accessible way to receive website or property information may use the contact methods below. Housing-related accommodation or modification requests should be handled based on the specific facts and applicable law rather than through assumptions or screening based on disability.

Report a concern

If you believe website content, an advertising statement or a service interaction raises a fair-housing concern, contact Rebecca at rebecca@hidalgoregroup.com or 480-243-4242 so the issue can be reviewed promptly.
